  1. I love the concept of the beauty in brokenness; often my favorite characters in stories seem to have a greater beauty because of their brokenness. And as you said, God does, too, shown through Jesus’ willingness to be broken. It seems like that is the way love’s glory is truly shown–when it is broken and yet still loves. Just as you said–the “beautiful” people see it. They are beautiful, or beauty-filled because they open their eyes to see true beauty. ๐Ÿ™‚ As Jesus put it, the eye is the lamp of the body and, to paraphrase his words, if you fill your eyes with light rather than darkness, than your whole body will be filled with light, not darkness. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • You expressed it beautifully. You’re right–in fiction, we journey with the characters who build character through their conflicts. Who would want to be a flat character just to avoid life! I’ve realized we can travel the world seeking beauty, but unless we recognize beauty inside us, we’ll never see it. Jesus filled my life with such beauty. Sounds like He did so for you, too. Thanks so much for sharing.

  3. The enemy is vicious!! He is seeking those who he can devour. 2006 was a bad year, yet glorifying to God!! I love the way you responded!! Our Lord is so full of love for His children!!
